Nairobi, Kenya – October 28, 2021 – Africa Plantation Capital (APC) is pleased to announce the resumption of its operations following the recent decision by the Kenyan government to lift the nationwide curfew that has been in place since March 2020. This development comes as a result of the easing COVID-19 infection rates across the country.
The curfew had significantly impacted our administrative functions and plantation management operations. The last 18 months have presented unprecedented challenges for APC, particularly within our East African operations. We have been in close communication with our group headquarters to strategize and effectively plan our path forward.
We are optimistic about resuming our activities and moving past the difficulties we have faced, at Africa Plantation Capital. The lifting of the curfew is a positive step towards recovery and allows us to implement the necessary measures to get our operations back on track. We remain committed to overcoming the challenges and advancing our initiatives in East Africa.
In the coming days, our plantation management teams will conduct a thorough assessment of the situation on the ground. They will file a comprehensive report detailing the impact of the curfew and other challenges encountered during the pandemic. This report will be essential for evaluating the damages and planning the way forward effectively.
The lifting of the curfew is a welcome development and a critical step towards restoring our full operational capabilities, at Africa Plantation Capital. Our teams are committed to carefully assessing the situation and developing a strategic plan to overcome the challenges and move forward with renewed focus and resilience.
We appreciate the continued support and patience of our stakeholders, partners, and employees during this period. Our priority remains to ensure a safe and efficient transition back to normal operations while maintaining the highest standards of health and safety.
Our focus is on ensuring a smooth return to full operational capacity while continuing to prioritize the health and safety of our teams and communities.
